Aberdeen’s history

Collection

Aberdeen was first settled in the 1890s and early 1900s by a mix of newcomers. Many were born in Eastern or Atlantic Canada and were largely of English or Scottish ancestry. Ukrainian immigrants arrived in 1898 and 1899, and Mennonites from Manitoba came in 1901.
